The skate shop that outgrew its online store
Since 2006, skate and streetwear retailer Streetmarket had a custom-built online store — first on the BCT framework, then on WooCommerce. When its requirements outgrew both, [binary] recommended moving to a specialised platform.

The online store on BCT
From 2007 the store ran on the BCT framework and was its second-largest application after eDomovník: a complete online store with a comprehensive back office and stock management across multiple warehouses. On top of that came a dedicated server, housing, operations and a helpdesk.
Migration to WooCommerce
Around 2020 the store moved to WordPress and WooCommerce. It gained multiple languages and point-of-sale checkout in the physical shop, linked to the same stock.
When to recommend moving on
The requirements kept growing: multiple languages, stock management, point-of-sale sales and in-store inventory control, all at once. They were reaching the limits of the chosen environment — this was a scope that today is developed by entire teams at specialised platforms. [binary] therefore recommended moving to an e-commerce platform. Streetmarket has since run on Shoptet (a leading Czech e-commerce platform), and the collaboration continues.
